GROW YOUR OWN: Addressing Missouri’s Health Care Workforce Shortage looks at finding local and statewide solutions to this challenge. From a rural dentist practicing for 50 years to a Harvard-educated young woman returning to be a family doctor in her underprivileged, urban community, and then to a high school program that gives students a first-hand look at health careers, this 16-minute documentary is about people and communities creating positive change.

About the film:

WHO WE ARE NOW: Joplin One Year Later focuses on how this southwest Missouri town is redefining itself, developing a new spirit of collaboration as it also rebuilds the landscape following an EF5 tornado in May 2011.  This documentary shows the efforts of organizations and health providers in this “new” Joplin to create better ways of working together to build a healthier community.
